My father was born Jan. 25, 1910 at 1213 5th Ave., Moline, Illinois, according to his birth certificate (Bk. 9 pg. 270) at the Rock Island Co. Courthouse within the Clerk of Courts Office, Rock Island, Illinois. He was first married to a Shirley (Hutchinson) Riebe, having apparently met when he worked in Milwaukee as a Butcher. They were married 10 May 1947 in Crown Point, Indiana and divorced in 1950 as an annulment in Janesville, WI. He and my mother, Dorothy Mae (Jackson) were married in October of 1949, in Beloit, Wisconsin. He worked several years at O'Connell's IGA Grocery at 145 S. Randall Avenue in Janesville, manager of their meat department and butcher. He was employed at Mercy Hospital of Janesville since 1962 to the time of his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Boyd & Bertha Heatherly. His brother, Walter D. (Bud) at one time resided with our family, when uncle Walter lived in Janesville.
