85 Of Fairhaven, formerly of Chelsea, died Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford after a long illness from cancer. Born in Fairhaven. The son of the late Wilfred and Dora Rock. He was a WWII Navy Veteran, 1st class welder for the city of Chelsea before retiring in 1964 and moving to Fairhaven in 1981. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W., Moose, Merritts & French Clubs. He was the beloved husband of Mildred "Millie" Rock. Devoted father of Richard from Billerica, Bob & wife Betty from Saugus, beautiful grandchildren Krysten & husband Rob Trainor from Everett MA, Kelly & husband David Dunnock from Colorado Springs, CO (both in the Air Force) Kelly about to give birth to Gerard's first great-grandchild in July, Bobby Jr., Sean & Timothy from Saugus MA. An "awesome" nephew "Ray" from Fairhaven, MA; two sisters: Jeannette Sullivan from Medford, MA, Muriel Courtney & brother Conrad & wife Gladys, both from Billerica. Brother of the late Roland R.
