Frank Remick Of Gladstone Died Sun.
Gladstone (A) — Frank Remick, aged 53 years, a farmer in the Gladstone vicinity, passed away of a heart attack at 8:15 A. M., Sunday, Dec. 9, 1951. He had appeared to be in his usual health until Saturday night when he complained of chest pains and was unable do his chores on Sunday morning.
A native of Lowell. Ia., Mr. Remick was born on May 12, 1898 and lived at Lowell until in 1922 when he moved to the Gladstone vicinity in Illinois.
His first marriage was to Miss Ollie McNamee, who passed away in 1943. They were the parents of six children, Raymond, at home; Mary Waller of Burlington Iowa; Floyd, Walter and Donald, all the service, and Kenneth who died when a small boy.
Of the sons in the service, Floyd and Donald are in Korea and Walter, expects to be shipped over in the near future.
On May 2, 1945, his marriage Viva Patton took place and two daughters were born their union, Carolyn aged 4, and Lola, who passed when nine months of age.
Other survivors are five step children, Bonnie, Marie, Wesley, Wilbur and Delos Morgan; his father, William Remick, of Winfield, Ia., and six brothers and sisters, namely Morris and Vivian, both of Winfield, Ia., Chester and Mrs. Ruby Gleason, both of Mt. Pleasant, Ia., Mrs. Hazel Simmons, New London, Ia., and Mrs. Maxine Carter of Burlington, Ia. and two grandchildren,
The body was taken to the Mudd funeral home in Biggsville, where funeral services are this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o'clock.
Burial will be In the Oquawka Cemetery.
