Nilda Delphine Budmayr, 51, Belle Fourche, died Friday, March 9, 2001, at her home near Belle Fourche.

She was born Aug. 9, 1949, in Miles City, Mont., to Battista and Helen (Redfern) Gianino. She lived with her father and paternal grandparents on a ranch near Boyes, Mont. She attended Hay Creek School, graduating from eighth grade. She attended high school in Broadus, Mont., and later in life completed two years of college at Black Hills State University in Spearfish.

On Dec. 15, 1968, she married Daniel Galloway in Broadus. On May 22, 1976, she married Leslie Budmayr in Belle Fourche. While living in Belle Fourche, she raised her family and helped with her husband's trucking business.

She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and Altar Society. For 20 years, she was a member of the local American Cancer Society and volunteered many hours of service to promote fund-raising in the community. She was recognized and rewarded on the state level for organizing many local events involving area youths.

Nilda enjoyed many interests and hobbies, including gardening and growing beautiful flowers. She had a talent for all kinds of craftwork, attending craft shows and making special gifts for her many friends. Other interests included musical events, dancing, attending local Indian powwows, rodeos and traveling.

She also enjoyed being at her home in the country, caring for her children and grandchildren, who were a very important part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Nash, and four grandparents.

She is survived by her husband, Leslie Budmayr, Belle Fourche; two daughters, Jennifer Lynn Galloway Budmayr and her husband, Robert, and Amber Eileen Budmayr, all of Belle Fourche; one son, Justin Miles Budmayr, Sarasota, Fla.; her father, Battista Gianino, Boyes; one sister, Wende Gianino, Boyes; three grandchildren, Shelbie Marie Budmayr and Louis Parker Anthony Budmayr, both of Belle Fourche, and Brittney Monae Budmayr, Tucson, Ariz.; two aunts, Lucille Nolte and her husband, Bob, Silver Star, Mont., and Katherine Prentice and her husband, Gale, Omaha, Neb.; and two special friends, Dorothy French, Inning, S.D., and Melissa Brooks, Belle Fourche.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Kline-Frost Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche. A rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Belle Fourche. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, at St. Paul's Church, with Father Arnold Kari officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Banner Home Care and Hospice.
