She was united in marriage to Oliver Stone at the age of eighteen and resided in Warrensburg, N Y., for eleven years. In the spring of I860 the family moved to Iowa and located on a farm near Eden where they lived till 1891 when they moved to Waucoma. In 1874 she united with the United Brethern church at Eden and since moving to Waucoma has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church. January 20th, 1899, with her husband she celebrated her Golden Wedding anniversary. April 28th of the same year her husband departed this life, since which time she has chosen to keep her own home although offered a home with each of her children. For years it has been a custom of the family to have a reunion at Christmas and last Christmas her family was all with her except one grandson who is in Washington. Wednesday, March 21st, at sun set, after illness of about four weeks she most peacefully passed to the great beyond. She leaves to mourn her loss four children, Mrs. Juliette Bender, of Fayette, William H Stone, Mrs. Janette Adams and G. 0. Stone of this place, fifteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
As was done at the time of her husband's death, short services were held at the home and then burial was made after which memorial services were held at the M. E. church, conducted by Rev. Townsend assisted by Rev. Parker, of New Hampton, and Rev. Frost, of this place.
