Bernice Altenbrunn was born on Jan. 20, 1924 to George and Myrtle Altenbrunn at Bradley, Ill. She graduated from Bradley High School and was a stenographer in Kankakee, Ill. She was a housekeeper for Floyd Borah in Illinois and after his retirement she moved with him back to South Dakota. They were married on December 11, 1970 at Madison, SD. After Floyd's death in 1987 she remained in Oldham, eventually moving into an apartment. She became a resident of Kingsbury Memorial Manor in March of 1999.
Survivors include one brother, Kenneth of Bradley, Ill; two sisters, Betty of Bradley, Ill and Delores (Don) of Freemont, CA; and three nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother Leonard and one sister Norma.
The Johnson-Henry Funeral Chapel in Oldham is in charge of arrangements.
