I am honored to present this bio for my friend George Young. He was a person with a kind heart who loved helping people. He was a ‘people magnet’. Whoever came in contact with him liked him.George had two sons, Sam and Tim and following his marriage break-up made sure he never lost touch with them. He taught them the things necessary to succeed in life, giving them the means to think things through a problem and come up with a solution. He showed them that through hard work you could succeed at anything. This can be seen in everything he did from hunting, skiing, fishing and his much loved pass-time motorcycle riding (both road and off road). Sam and Tim are accomplished in all of the above because of George. I choose to call these ‘Life Skills’. George you will be missed at the ski club and I for one will miss the odd bottle of red we shared when I came over to pick up my boys from being with your boys. Look down on your family knowing you did a fine job in raising them. You will never be forgotten as you live in our hearts.Be at rest….George died on the 12th December 2004 following a motorcycle accident. He was aged 49yrs.

George's ashes were buried at the Papakura Cemetery:L W.A.D. Area, Row 1, Plot 005 on 12 July 2006
