Clyde H. Aspinwall, 82 of Screven, Ga. died Saturday, December 01, 2012 in Golden Living Center after an extended illness.
The Pierce County, Ga. native had lived in Wayne County, Ga. most of his adult life, was a member of Screven First Baptist Church and a U.S. Marine Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He was a former employee of Rayonier and retired employee of Interstate Paper Company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and being a member of the White Star Hunting Club.
Survivors are his wife of 62 years, Joyce Johnson Aspinwall of Screven, Ga.; a daughter, Cindy Aspinwall of Screven, Ga.; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Randy Aspinwall of Screven, Ga., Andy and Nancy Aspinwall of Patterson, Ga.; a sister, Marie Vorpe of Dinsmore, Fla.; a brother, Edward Aspwinall of Middleburg, Fla.; 3 grandsons, Drew and wife, Nikki Aspinwall, Ethan Boatright, Jared and wife, Nicole Boatright; 4 great grandchildren, Kallan and Beau Aspinwall, Morgan and Briley Boatright; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Dr. Ron Wilcox officiating. Interment will be in the Screven City Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be his family. Honorary pallbearers will be the employees of Golden Living Center and the Hospice of South Georgia Staff.
Visitation will be 10 to 11 A.M. prior to services at the funeral home.
