Funeral services with a requiem mass were conducted at 9:00 am Wednesday at St Mary's Catholic church for the late Miss Norah Gahan who died Sunday morning at 2:45 at Sacred Heart hospital after a lingering illness.
Interment was made in Calvary cemetery. The pallbearers were: Arthur Dewing, Frank Dewing, Ben P Gahan Jr., Gilbert Dane, A Langlois, and Ed MacDonald.
Miss Gahan, who was born in Lakota, N D, Sept 6, 1891, came to Tomahawk with her parents when quite young. The past 20 years she was employed as hostess at Sault Ste Marie and Mankato, Minn., for the Roberts Hotel Corp. Because of ill health she retired two years ago and spent the past year here. She was a member of the local American Legion Auxiliary Unit of Bronsted Post No 93, the local Royal Neighbors, and the Daughters of Isabelle at Mankato, Minn.
She is survived by her father, John Gahan, this city; three brothers, George Gahan, Beloit, WI, John Bernard Gahan, Columbus, Nebr., J Ambrose Gahan, this city, and one sister, Mrs Marie Simonton of Mankato, Minn.
