Charles Nye was the owner of The Reefs restaurant, which was a popular local hang-out during prohibition. Because of it's location on the beach, it was the ideal place for rum-runners. Mr. Nye was a resident of Moss Beach, CA. at the time of his death. He was 99 years old.
