Funeral services for J. W. (James) Pugh were held Thursday, December 5, 1974 at 2:00 p. m. in the chapel of German-Aumon Funeral Home in Steele. Mr. Franklin Williams and the Rev. Joe Smith officiated.

Mr. Pugh died December 3, 1974 at the Dunklin Memorial Hospital in Kennett. He was born November 27, 1883, to Luther and Mary Spencer Pugh in Tennessee. Preceding him in death were his wife, Adella Reynolds Pugh, two daughters, and one son.

Mr. Pugh leaves six sons: Grady Pugh, Byhalia, Miss., Herbert Pugh, Steele, Harbert Pugh, Holland, Ray Pugh, Cooter, Robert Pugh, Muskegon, Mich., and Willard Pugh, San Diego, Calif.; and one sister, Goldie Cagle, Milledgeville, Tenn.; one brother, Doss Pugh, Milledgeville; and 15 grandchildren.

Interment was in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele with German-Aumon Funerl Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were J. L. Whitfield, Buck Whitfield, David Whitfield, Paul Cooper, Paul Fullerton, and W. M. Barnes.
