Enlisted on 10/12/1861 as a 2nd Lieutenant.
On 10/12/1861 he was commissioned into "E" Co. PA 78th Infantry.
He was musterd out on 11/4/1864.
Promotions: 1st Lieut 4/27/1863.
Federal Pension Information:
He applied for a pension on 3/15/1865.
application #63.443. Gun shot wounds to knee, thigh, back of scalp suffered Battle at Stones River, TN.

In 1866, he married Mariah. Their children were Hudson, William, Ida, Lilly, Harvey and Delilah.
Spent several months at Dayton, Ohio Disabled Veterans Home 1900. A parapalegic. He passed away in Allegheny City (now Pittsburg) PA.
His widow Mariah applied for a pension on 4/23/1902 from the state of PA., application #761.392.
