Delphos Republican, October 10, 1902

Died.- At the home of his sister, Mrs. A.A. Ballou, in this city, Oct 4, 1902, Daniel Raymond Webster, aged 24 years, 9 mos, 28 days. Services at the house Monday afternoon, by Rev. Geo. S. Smith.

Daniel Raymond Webster was born near Delphos, Kan., Dec 6th, 1877 where he grew to manhood. He joined the United States Navy, September 1900, was discharged 1901 on account of lung trouble. He then went west but receiving no benefit from change of climate returned to his childhood's home where he slowly but surely approached the end of life, passing peacefully away Oct. 4, 1902. He requested to be laid beside his mother, to whom he was most devotedly attached and on whom he had bestowed every care and attention during her last illness extending over a period of four years. After a short separation they are once more united, never again to feel the bitterness of parting.

He leaves three brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss.

Sincere thanks are extended to those who so kindly assisted us during the recent sickness and death of our brother, Daniel Webster.
Mrs. Ella Ballou
Mrs. Sylvia Porter
