Husband of 57 years to LaVerne Kammer (nee Webber); Dad of Ed Jr. and Diana, Patrick and Patricia, Julie and Tony; grandfather of Jim, Jeff and Danielle; stepgrandfather of Samantha, Melissa, Keith, Morgan, Makenzie, and Caden; son of the late Kathryn (nee Eckert) and the late Ed Kammer, Jr.; brother of Jack (Sherlene) Kammer; brother-in-law of Marilyn Webber (Bob Cain) and Sharon and the late Ronald Webber; uncle, great uncle, cousin, nephew, godfather and friend. Ed was a brother to the guys in the crowd and the daffy dills. He was a friend to the bunco moms of Magdalen and to his classmates and all McKinley H.S. Goldbugs (1945-1949). Ed served stateside as an MP during the Korean Conflict. He was a past president of St. Mary Magdalen Married Men's Club and coached baseball and softball for Magdalen teams. He served for years on the McKinley H.S. Alumni Committee with 4 yrs as president of its Luncheon Committee. He loved music and sang as a member and past president of the Gentlemen of Sound-Suburban Chapter Barber Shop Chorus. He was a sportsman... fishing, hunting, boating, baseball and bowling. He was a Mill HIll Clown, a retiree from Chrysler after 30+ yrs. and an employee of Kutis Funeral Home (1992-2006). Published in St. Louis Post-Dispatch from December 5 to December 6, 2012
