He married Beverly A. (Kesot) on Nov. 23, 1957. She survives. He was in his 48th year of employment at Bradford Plumbing and Heating as a licensed journeyman plumber, where he was known as "Jerry the Plumber."
He was a 1952 graduate of Mississinewa High school where he was active in basketball, football as well as track and field. After graduation Jerry served his country in the Army, serving in Texas and Germany. He was an avid genealogist and enjoyed the outdoors.
He was a member of First Friends Meeting, Marion. He loved his family and friends. His granddaughter, Emma Grace, loved cracking walnuts, gardening, riding the tractor, fishing, building campfires and having quiet time with her "Poca" in the woods. Jerry was looking forward to the birth of his grandson in January.
Survivors also include children, Douglas, Illinois, Sandra (Zach) Maggart, Texas, Sharon Baldwin, Indianapolis; and his dog, Dolly.
