MICHAEL GORDON MUMA

Michael Gordon Muma, 67, of Gladwin passed away at his home surrounded by loved ones, Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012. He was born in Gladwin on July 5, 1945 to Harold and Betty (Fiser) Muma.

He worked many years in the family saw mill, then took a job driving semi. From there he found his passion and drove all over the United States. He enjoyed sitting around the table drinking coffee and visiting with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife and soulmate of 28 years, Kim Muma; a very special loved one, Mary-Lou Muma; a son, Terry (Carol) Muma of Gladwin; a daughter, Connie (Doug) Shaffer of Freeland; three brothers, William (Diana) Muma, Ted (Marla) Muma of Gladwin, and Mark (Stacy) Muma of Clio; two sisters, Beverley (Denny) Bright of Gladwin, and Tonya (Kevin) Venable of Flint; five grandchildren, Crystal (Shane) Woodford, Candid (Howard) Bigham, Casey (Kayla) Muma of Gladwin, Clarissa Shaffer, and Gary Shaffer of Freeland; two great-grandchildren, Richard Woodford and Sofie Muma of Gladwin; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Betty Muma; a brother, Larry Muma; and a nephew, William "Denny" Bright.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at The Community of Christ Church with Darrel Bechtel officiating. He was laid to rest a Butman Cemetery, Gladwin.

Arrangements were handled by Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family. Gladwin County Record dated 11-28/2012 Page - 2.
