JONES, Lucy Jane, 79, of Richmond, formerly of Beaverdam, went home to be with the Lord December 1, 2012. She was predeceased by her husband, George Arthur Jones; and seven siblings. Left to cherish her memory are two children, Sylvia Jones and Deborah Lewis; three sisters, Youtha H. Thacker, Elizabeth Robinson and Viola Johnson; two brothers, Clarence Johnson and Robert Johnson Sr.; three grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Remains rest at F.E. Dabney Funeral Home, Ashland. Homegoing services, 1 p.m. Friday, December 7, at Union Baptist Church, Beaverdam. Rev. Christopher K. Stevens, pastor, officiating.
