Michael Sassone, a lifetime Rye resident, died December 13, 2007 at age 83. Michael was the owner of the Rye Bike Shop and for the past 50 years, he spent 7 days a week working diligently at his business. He is the beloved husband of 58 years of Mildred (Sabito). In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Lawrence Sassone and Rose Ann Minnerly; grandchildren, Jennifer Page and Michael Minnerly, three great grandchildren and sisters, Gertrude Parisi and Jane Gibson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings, Mary Sarica, Angie Riale, Josephine Spano, Antoinette, Carmella and Alexander Sassone. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm COXE & GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME, 767E. Boston Post Rd., Mamaroneck, 914-698-5968. Funeral Mass Monday 10 am Resurrection RC Church followed by interment at St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the American Heart Association or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. -
