CLYDE BAILEY IS TAKEN BY DEATH IN GALLIPOLIS

GLOUSTER, April 10--Clyde Bailey, former Glouster resident, died at the hospital in Gallipolis Friday following an illness of a few days. Mr. Bailey whose home was in Athens, held a position as traveling salesman and was in this city Tuesday in the interest of his firm.

He expected to work Pomeroy, Middleport and Gallipolis the remainder of the week. Wednesday morning he was taken ill and went t the Gallipolis hospital for treatment. Thursday Mrs. Bailey received word from the hospital that he was seriously ill and went to Gallipolis Friday morning.

Mr. Bailey was a son-in-law to Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Vernon of this city and leaves his wife and tree young daughters. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Bailey, former Glouster residents, now live near Bellaire.

Funeral services will probably be held in Athens but arrangements had not been made Saturday morning.

TO HOLD BAILEY FUNERAL MONDAY

The funeral services for Clyde C. Bailey, 34, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, from the Christian Church with the Rev. M.E. Chatley officiating.

Mr. Bailey was a member of the United Commercial Travelers, and for several years he had taken an active part in Athens Freemasonry. His death Friday was a shock to his friends and relatives, as he had seemingly recovered from a lon illness. He had been a resident of Athens for the last two years.
