Emma is survived by son Wray (Charlotte) Swanson and their children Karen (Donald Blackstock) Swanson, Julie (Shawn) Nolan, Diana (Brad) Davoren, Connie Goudie, Laura (Shane) Bullock; daughter-in-law Anita Swanson and her children Brenda, Paul, Barbara (Dan) Rempel, Ted (Kim), David (Carol), Rebecca; her daughter Melva (Jack) Partlow and her children Nancy (James Levy) Partlow, Kathy (Jim) Scott; son Harry (Audrey) and their children Robert (Suthida), Scott (Jody); daughter June (Warren) Cunningham and their children Sherry (Ron) Oswald, Denise, Jodi (Ian) Glassford; son Glenn (Lauralee) and their children Jackie (Brennan) Campbell, Ross, Claire, Bonnie; 38 great grandchildren; sister-in-law Helen Loft, sister-in-law Sybil Swanson. She was predeceased by her husband Willard, son Roy Swanson, parents Albert and Anna Loft, sister Margaret Loft O'Donnell and brothers Ed and Art Loft.
Emma was born on December 20, 1914 north of the Town of Milk River. She lived her life near Milk River except for her time at Olds College. Emma loved her farm south of Milk River and was fortunate to remain there almost until her passing. Emma loved her family and was always interested in their lives. Education was very important to her.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 20, 2008 at the MILK RIVER CATHOLIC CHURCH, with Reverend Mary Young officiating.
