Obituary: Theodore Denton Perkins, 52 Dillwyn farmer died Wednesday night at Southside Community Hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Prince Edward County, born August 15, 1906 a son of Eligah Thornton Perkins and Pearl Carey Perkins. Surviving are his wife Mrs. Anna O'Bryant Perkins of Dillwyn, his step mother Mrs. lillie Veller Perkins; 2 sons Reuben Thomas Perkins; & Robert Lee Perkins, both of Dillwyn; a sister Mrs. Jenny Rothgeb of Prospect,5 half sisters, Mrs. Ruby Talley, Mrs. Frances Pittman, all of Harrisville, MD, Mrs. Garland Dowdy of Farmsville,and Miss Annie Perkins of Prospect,Mrs Margaret Perkins all of Harrisville, M.D. and Also surviveing are three brothers, Ed Perkins, of Dillwyn, John Perkins, Illinois, and Will Perkins of Farmsville,and two half brothers Tom Perkins, of Farmsville and Reuben Perkins of Prospect. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm Sunday at the Rocky Mount Methodist Church near Dillwyn, Interment will be in the church cemetery.
He was the grandson of Reuben Perkins & Emily Lucy Emmons of Bath Co., Ky.
