Ella Nora Parrish, 84, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away December 3, 2012. She was born on April 15, 1928 in Brooklet, GA. She was married to the late Murlan J. Parrish for 34 years and had three sons, Richard M. Parrish (Yvonne), the late Dennis F. Parrish (Debbie) and the late Emmitt P. Parrish (Cheryl). Six grandchildren, Lori Rolling (John), John Parrish (Michelle), Edward Parrish, Carrie Mathis (Timothy), Evan Parrish and Samuel Parrish and seven great-grandchildren, Cheyenne, Shelby, Shaylee, Brook, Ethan, Briley and Landen. Ella Nora retired from Penney Farms Retirement Community having worked for 34 years as a nurse in the clinic. She began her nursing career as a volunteer at Clay Memorial Hospital and received her LPN training at the school of nursing in St. Augustine, FL. She was a devout Christian and a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Broadus-Raines Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 7, 2012 in the Broadus-Raines Chapel with Dr. Tim McDaniel officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
