Indianapolis – Mary Jane Kidd, 78, of 8694 State Road 37 Bedford, died at 2:30 am on Friday, December 07, 2012 at I.U. Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Born November 28, 1934 in Wayne County, KY, she was the daughter of Elisha and Angie (New) Phillips. She married Gola E. Kidd on October 3, 1952 and he survives. Mary was a retired assembly worker at RCA in Bloomington and attended Free Methodist Church. Mary was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Gola of Bedford, one daughter, Pam Norman and husband Ronald of Mitchell, two sons, Phillip Kidd of Springville and Brandon Kidd of Kokomo, six grandchildren, Matthew, Adam and Ashley Norman, Jamie Russell and Rodney and Kevin Kidd, 6 great grandchildren, two sisters, Dorothy Phillips of Oolitic and Carol Allen of Bedford, one brother, Clyde Phillips of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Thomas, Cecil, Herman, Robert and Ernie.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Alan Phillips and Bro. Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm on Monday, December 10, 2012 at the mortuary.
