Funeral services will be held at Lemon Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Herschel Ward, officiating, and interment will be made in the family plot in Oak Hill East Cemetery. The date and time of the services will be announced by W. Carl Davis and Son Funeral Home upon arrival of members of the family. Members of the City Police force will serve as active pallbearers.
The deceased was born, Aug. 20, 1876, in Putnam County and spent his entire life in the community. He has served as a member of the City Police Force for a number of years.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs. W. R. Thomas, Palatka; sons, William E., Springfield, Mo., E. L. and Clarence A., Jacksonville, Joseph Saul and A. D. Thomas, Wilmington, N.C; daughters, Mrs. Gary Jenkins, Mrs. R. B.
