Mrs. Begrisch, age 88, of Rye, NY, died after a short illness.

Considered the beloved foster daughter of oilman Frank and Jane (Gibson) Phillips, of Bartlesville, OK, she attended Rye Country Day School.

On February 18, 1937, she married Frank W. Begrisch. They honeymooned in early March in Bermuda.

Loved by: 2 daughters, Jane Fortin and Mary Hory; 3 devoted
grandchildren, Blaine and Dawn Fortin, Cheryl Young, and 7 great-grandchildren.

She moved to Rye in 1944 from Bartleville, OK and was a generous supporter of Christ Church and other charitable organizations.

Religious services were held at Christ Episcopal Church of Rye. Entombment: Woodlawn Cemetery.

The Phillips, as parents, preserved the public ties, and the private ties, with their surrogate mother, Mr. Phillip's private secretary, confidante and special friend, Ms. Sydney Fern Butler, #19442508. A friend of Mrs. Phillips, as well, both women would continue to love Mr. Phillips for life. Frank and Jane's only biological child together was a son named John Gibson Phillips]
