Age 82 Beloved husband of Judy for 59 years. Dear father of Samantha Lang (Jeff), Allison Sunderman (Joe) and Allen Jr. (Cathy). Loving grandfather of Travis (Jessica) and Ryan Lang, Matthew and Lydia Sunderman, Emily (Rob) Greenman and Stephanie (Bill) Montagne, Jennifer and Alissa Corn. Great grandfather of Colin Greenman. Brother of Thelma Bilbrey. Allen earned his Eagle Scout Award with the Boy Scouts of America in 1945, and was also an aircraft mechanic prior to the Korean War. He served during the Korean War with the United States Air Force. He taught in the Dearborn Public Schools for over 30 years and at Henry Ford Community College for several years. Allen also taught in Somalia for 3 years at the National Teachers Education Center. He was also an avid sportsman who loved to hunt, fish, and scuba dive. He was a craftsman who loved to build, sculpt, create artistic works, and work on small engines. He loved to travel, spend time with family, and share his many talents with his family and friends. Donations to the Salvation Army. Memorial Service on Saturday December 8, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Park Place Located At 23400 Park Street in Dearborn followed by an luncheon reception. Funeral Arrangements were handled by the Dearborn Chapel of the Howe-Peterson Funeral Home
