Margaret Purtell Mullican, 88, of Binghamton, died Thursday, November 13, 2008, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred T. Mullican; four brothers, Charles, Gerald, Walter and Harold Purtell; and daughter-in-law, Jill Mullican. She is survived by her children, Helen and Don Makers, Vestal, Bob and Michelle Mullican, Greensboro, N.C.; four grandchildren, Karen and Scott Holloway, Suzanne and Scott Hussar, Michael and Valerie Mullican, Brian and Kelli Mullican; five great-grandchildren, "her little angels," Alan, Adam, Paris, Brian and Megan; a sister, Mary McCarthy, Binghamton; also several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Johnson City and the St. John Vianney Club, a retired Nurse Administrator at the Binghamton Psychiatric Center, a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and CSEA. The family would like to thank Fr. Don Bourgeois for his many prayers and hours spent with mom and the family. The most important things in Margaret's life were her faith, family, friends and cards.

Funeral Services will be held at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Monday at 9:30 a.m. and at 10 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church where a Funeral Mass will be con-celebrated by Rev. Donald Bourgeois and Rev. Charles Opondo-Owora. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the McCormack Funeral Home, Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. Expressions of sympathy in Margaret's memory may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church, 13 Cenacle Plaza, Johnson City, N.Y. 13790.
