Eloise Ella Atkinson Carrol, 94, of Parkersburg, passed away Dec. 8, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Wood County, the daughter of the late Rev. James F. Atkinson and Bessie May Collett Atkinson.

She had been employed at Corning Glass from 1942 until 1981. She was a member of the Temple B'nai Israel, where she was a member of the B'nai Sisterhood. She was a member of the Corning Glass Retiree Club, The Order of the Eastern Star and was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her daughter, Clarice Trembly and husband, Duane, of Vienna; one son, David A. Carrol of Parkersburg; her grandchildren, Joshua Trembly, Jeremy Trembly and Deanna Sue Farnsworth; her great-grandchildren, Kiera, Ashton and Raini; and one brother, Alva E. "Duke" Atkinson and wife, Betty, of Parkersburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Charles Carrol in 2007; 10 brothers and sisters; and one great-grandchild, Jaden A. Farnsworth.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with the Rev. Leon Valentine officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today.
