James Alexander Bass, Jr., 80, of Long Ave., died Friday December 7, 2012. He was born in Person County, son of the late James Alexander Bass, Sr. & Josephine Holeman Bass.
He was preceded in death by his wife Anne Moore Bass.
Mr. Bass was a retired salesman and a Veteran of the U. S. Navy having served during the Korean conflict. Mr. Bass was a member of Roxboro Baptist Church.
Mr. Bass is survived by his son Alex Bass, III and wife Misti of Rutherfordton, NC; daughter Carol B. Painter of Roxboro; brother Robert E.
Bass of High Point; four grandchildren Wesley Alexander Woodfin, Thierry "Kip" Painter, Brandon Bass & Nathan Bass.
Graveside Memorials Services will be held 2:00 PM Monday December 10, 2012 at Burchwood Cemetery.
