He was born April 24, 1936 to the late Joseph and Orpha Seigworth Wolff, and was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc. He was a decorated 20 year veteran in the U. S. Army aviation as crew chief CH 54 and Ch 37, serving two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was also an aviation instructor retired from Federal Civil Service. Tom was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Chapter 8252, Vietnam Veterans of American Chapter 813, and Disabled American Veterans Chapter 58. He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 886.
Survivors include his wife: Lena B. Wolff; five children: Laura (Joseph) Redman; Jennifer Sweeney; Joseph (Sandra) Wolff; Pam (Mike) Smith; Melody (Steven) Daniel; one sister: Barbara (Robert) Ahrens; two brothers: Charles (Teresa) Wolff: Jim (Carol) Wolff; sister-in-law: Maureen Wolff; nine grandchildren he loved dearly, with two being very special fishing buddies: Derek and Tyler Daniel; and four great-grandchildren. His parents and a brother: William Wolff, preceded him in death.
Graveside funeral services with full military honors, officiated by the Rev. Timothy B. Kirby Sr., will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Gloucester Point Cemetery. Friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point.
In Tom's memory, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Mrs. G. Edward Mowry, 7274 Joseph Lewis Road, Hayes, Va. 23072.
