MRS. H. ADAMS WAS CALLED LAST FRIDAY
Mrs. Harvey Adams passed away at her home in Lexington at 1:35 p. m. Friday, March 27, 1936. She had been ill for the past five months.
She was born July 22, 1878, in Lexington, daughter of Frank and Alice Shotwell. In October, 1901, she was married to Harvey Adams of Lexington. They lived for 23 years in South Dakota, then returned here and had lived here since.
Surviving are her husband and her mother of Lexington; a brother, Luman, of Dixon, Mont., and two nephews and two nieces, John Rogers and Phyllis of Dixon, and George and Frances Rigg of Lexington.
Mrs. Adams was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church at 2pm, Monday, conducted by Rev. W. G. Anderson of Chenoa, assisted by Rev. T. Reighton Jones, pastor of the local church. Mrs. Ralph Payne and Mrs. Edward Smith provided the music, with Mrs. Roy Cooper accompanying.
Pallbearers were Z. T. Garret, Sanford Garrett, Ira M. Whiteman, Lawrence Whiteman, E. B. Douglass and Oram Douglas. Burial was made in the Lexington cemetery.
