Marceline Fay Rudolph, 86, of Harrisonburg, VA, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital. Marceline was born in Green Bay, WI on Aug. 12, 1926, and was the daughter of the late Walter Warren and Helena Haskins Barnes.
She moved to the valley in 2003 to be closer to her family and her daughter. Not only was she a member of the Freedom Baptist Church, but she loved NASCAR, spending time gardening, and was an avid walker.
Every Thanksgiving, Marceline dedicated her time to volunteering at the Little Grill and Our Community Place. She recently attended a church event in which she learned how to skeet shoot.
On Dec. 10, 1949, she married Clarence Roy Rudolph Jr., who preceded her in death in 2003.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Rudolph of Harrisonburg, Richard Rudolph and wife, Caroline of Mount Crawford; a daughter, Susan Rudolph Pleasant of Mount Crawford; a brother, James "Jimmy" Barnes of Manitowoc, WI; one sister, Georgiana Melanson of West Jordan, UT; seven grandchildren, Aaron, Micah, Leah, Rachel, Dianna, Benjamin and Kekai; and six great-grandchildren, with one on the way.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg, VA, with Pastor Dale Goodwin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
Interment will take place at a later date at the (Abraham)Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
