ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. S.P. CURDTS
Death Claims Wife of Greenville Theatrical Man; Funeral Services This Afternoon
Mrs. Sunie P. Curdts, aged 43 years, died at the City hospital yesterday at 3:30 o'clock after a short illness, although she had been in declining health for some time.
Mrs. Curdts has lived in Greenville all of her life and was a consistent member of the First Baptist church. She has hosts of friends over the state who will be grieved to learn of her death. Before her marriage she was Miss Sunie Powell, daughter of Mr. Stephen Powell.
Mr. Curdts is survived by her husband Ed C. Curdts, one of the proprietors of a local theatre; three sons, James W. Curdts, Edwin C. Curdts, Jr., and Fred S. Curdts all of this city; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Hatcher and Mrs. W.H. Davis, of this city; two brothers, B.J. and W.S. Powell, both of Greenville.
Funeral services will be conducted today from the home, 513 Towne street, at 4:30 o'clock. Dr. George W. Quick, officiating, assisted by Rev. Luther Miller. Interment will follow in Springwood cemetery.
The following named gentlemen are requested to act as pallbearers: Messrs. W.O. Balentin, T.B. Hudgins, W.E. Freeman, W.D. Neves, Z.A. Smith and J.E. Lewis.
The friends and acquaintances of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin C. Curdts, James W. Curdts, Edwin C. Curdts, Jr., and Fred S. Curdts, Mrs. Fannie Hatcher, Mrs. W.H. Davis, B.J. Powell and W.S. Powell are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. Susan P. Curdts this afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from the residence, 513 Townes street, interment in Springwood.
