McCAMEY - John Shell, 78, died at 6 a.m. Feb. 8 in McCamey Hospital. Mr. Shell, formerly of Oakland, Calif., lived here the past 10 years with a daughter, Mrs. Joe Hendrickson. He was born in Kentucky Nov. 26, 1883. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Laura Shell of Tulsa, Okla.; two other daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Cotton and Mrs. Hazel Derrick, both of Tulsa; three sons, Glenn Shell of Tulsa, Jake Shell of Daingerfield and Ernest Shell of Oakland, Calif.; a brother, Frank Shell of Hamilton, Ohio; a sister of Mount Vernon, Ky.; two grandchildren, including Mrs. Violet Blatchford of McCamey; and 12 great-grandchildren.
