He had lived in Afton most of his life and was a farmer. He married Irene Reagan November 7, 1937 in Crosbyton. He was a Methodist. Survivors include his wife, Irene Blasingame, Afton; one son, Geary Blasingame, Afton one sister, Donis Katnatzer, Fort Worth; two grandchildren, Tony Blasingame and Terry Blasingame, both of Midland and four great-grandchildren.
