Beebe Dies In Hospital – Rites Set Thursday In Finley Chapel

Kenneth Beebe president of the Beebe company, marine supply house, died suddenly at Good Samaritan hospital Tuesday after a brief illness. His residence was 2673 S.W. Talbot Road.

Mr. Beebe was born in New York City, November 16, 1884, and came to Portland with his parents that same year. In 1901 he became associated with Pacific Export Lumber company, later He left in 1908 to become president of the Beebe company.

On September 21, 1911, he married Caroline Wilson. She survives, as do two daughters: Mrs. L. W. Harris Jr., Portland, and Mrs. Evelyn Billington, Los Gatos, Cal.; eight grandchildren and a brother, Gerald E. Beebe, Portland.

The funeral will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in Finley's Morninglight chapel, with Rev. Lansing E. Kempton officiating. The family has requested that no flowers be sent.

Garden City is a village in the town of Hempstead in central Nassau County, New York, and is located on Long Island, to the east of New York City. It was founded by multi-millionaire Alexander Turney Stewart in 1869. A very small section of the village is in North Hempstead.
