Mr. Kellogg was born in Sandy Hill and was 66 years old. When quite young his parents removed to Chittenango and from Chittenango to Albany, where he became a leading expert in the detection of counterfeit bills and coins in the Albany clearing house, In 1867 Mr. Kellogg resigned his place in Albany and came to Fulton, becoming connected with the Citizens National bank in various positions, as an officer and a member of the board of directors. In 1896 he was elected cashier and filled that office to the utmost satisfaction of the bank's officers up to the time of his last illness. He married in 1867, and a daughter of the union died in her youth, Mrs. Kellogg died In 1897, and Mr. Kellogg, in 1888, married Mrs Grace Wheeler of Green. The funeral Services were held Saturday,afternoon and were conducted by the Rev. Grant ,Episcopal church, who invoked the impressive ritual of the church. Interment was made in Mount Adnah cemetery.
