Albert Clayton Lynch, "Al", 65, of Richmond, VA, claimed the promise of eternal life on Saturday, December 8, 2012. He was the son of the late Reverend William Larkin Lynch and Nona Faye Clayton Lynch and was born in Durham, N.C. The Rev. Dr. Lynch was the pastor of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Henrico County and a chaplain for the Henrico County Sheriff's Department. Al was a follower of Jesus Christ, and a friend of Bill W. He was a graduate of Campbell College - 1969, Union Theological Seminary - 1974, and the University of Richmond's T.C. Williams School of Law - 1978.

Al is survived by his wife, The Rev. Susan Lynch; children, Milicent Loehr Lynch, Megan Thomas, and Matthew Thomas; and brothers, David Lynch (Marilyn) of Cary, N.C. and Edward Lynch (Barbara) of Richmond

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 15, at 11:00 a.m., St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 9801 Fort King Road, Richmond, VA 23229. The family will receive friends prior to the service, starting at 10:00 a.m., and immediately following the service. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. at Rock United Methodist Church Cemetery, 75 Rock Church Road, Lawrenceville, VA 23868.
