Rev. William M. Peeler, 90, retired Church of God bishop, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at his residence in Clermont after a brief illness. Born in Gainesville, GA., he was a 64 year resident of Florida, pasturing various churches throughout the state for 33 years. He was a member of Celebration of Praise Church of God and Clermont Kiwanis Club.
His wife of 50 years, Vernie Taylor Peeler preceded him in death in 1987. Surviving is his wife, Louise Beasley Peeler; daughter Dorothy Jones and husband R. Paul Jones of Clermont; grandson, Daniel P. Jones, St. Louis, MO., great grandson, Taylor Jones; great granddaughter Madison Jones; three sisters and a host of nieces and nephews.
The Home going service for Bishop Peeler will be held at Celebration of Praise Church of God.
