Hickman, Ky., Feb __ __ -- News has been received hereof the death of Ernest Castleman, formerly of this city, now of McEwen, Tenn., who suffered a serious Accident at Hollow Rock Junction, Tenn., where he was working for the N. C. & St. L. Railroad. Mr. Castleman was lying on the ground doing some work under a freight locomotive when a large lump of coal from the coal loading apparatus fell from a ledge about 30 feet above and hit the ground right near his head, bouncing on his head and crushing the skull. He was picked up in an unconscious state and rushed to a hospital at Nashville, dying a few hours later. He formerly resided her but had been away from Hickman for the past few years. He was 28 years old and is survived by his young wife and one three year old daughter, and is also survived by his parents. Funeral services took place at McEwen, Tenn., Tuesday.
