Divers Recover Body Of Kayrouz

Louisville (UPI) -- Ohio Valley Rescue Squad scuba divers Friday recovered the body of Anthony M. Kayrouz, 51, from the Ohio River about 100 yards below the Fairview Beach boat dock.

Kayrouz, a resturant operator, had beenm missing since last Tuesday when he left his restaurant to check on a boat belonging to his son. His car was found near the Fairview Beach dock, with the keys still in it.

Deputy Coroner William Andeerson returned a tentative ruling of death by accidental drowning.

Divers Recover Man's Body

Anthony M. (Tony) Kayrouz, 51 year old resturant owner, was recovered at 4:15 p. m. yesterday from the Ohio River about 100 yards below the Fairview Beach boat dock.
He had been missing since 2:30 p. m. Tuesday.

Deputy corenor William Anderson tentatively listed accidental drowning as the cause of death. An autopsywas begun last night at General Hospital..

Body Floating

Police said Ohio Valley Rescue Squad scuba divers found the body floating about 50 yards from the Kentucky shore. They had joined the search immediately after Kayrouz was reported missing.

Kayrouz owned Coffee Pot No. 1, 429 W. Broadway. He lived at 8212 Aspen Road, Pleasure Ridge Park.

Officers said he had left the resturant Tuesday to check on a boat belonging to his son. Later his car was found in a parking lot near the Fairview Beach dock. The key was still in the car's ignition, police said.

Lebanon Native

Kayrouz, born in Beirut, Lebanon, had lived here most of his life. He was a World War 11 Navy veteran. He was a member of St. Polycarp Catholic Church, the American Legion,
Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Loyal Order of The Moose.

Survivors include his wife, the former Mattie Bell Lucas; five sons, Charles Ray, Jerry, Michael, Gary Wayne and Anthony M. Kayrouz, Jr.; a daughter, Mrs. Betty Jean Norman;
his mother, Mrs. Minnie Kayrouz; two sisters. Mrs. Alex Kleinhenz, Jr., and Mrs. John Roby; four brothers, Azar Kayrouz, Lebanon, John Joseph and Fred Michael, and Nassar
Victor Kayrouz, and six grandchildren.

The body will be at Arch L. Heady Funeral Home, 1201 E. Oak, after 2 p. m. today. The funeral will be at 10 a. m. Monday at St. Polycarp Church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
