Pallbearers will be Carl Brock, Buster Brooks, Harry Stephens, Martin Cooner, Jim Firmin, Charlie Hall, Gary Hall and Wess Brown. Honorary escort will be David Lightsey, Eddie Moore, Nick Nicholson, Dr. Denny Doud, Dr. Joanna Sadurski, Dr. Kimberly Russell, Bal Ballentine and the employees of Ballentine Ford. Obituary: Scott William Cronic, 79, of 244 Deer Run Lane, husband of Inez Nalley Cronic, died Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Monroe, GA, he was a son of the late W. Tanner and Odessa Boleman Cronic. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School, attended Lander College and retired from Ballentine Ford. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was presented with a Purple Heart, a Bronze Star and an Infantry Badge. He was a member of the Greenwood Country Club and Main Street United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife of the home; two sons, Richard Cronic and Hunter Cronic, both of Greenwood; a stepson, Stanley Bowers of Powdersville; a stepdaughter, Susan Sims of Greenwood; a sister, Millie C. Workman of Greenwood; a brother, Ray Cronic of Myrtle Beach; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
