Alma Katherine Snyder, 96, of South Charleston died Sunday November 29, 2009 at Teays Valley Center.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church, South Charleston, where she enjoyed working in the church kitchen and teaching Sunday school. Alma was also active in various church circles.
She was retired from Lance's department store in Charleston, where she had worked as assistant manager.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Snyder; parents, William and Anna Thompson; Thompson; and was the last of nine brothers and sisters.
Surviving: son, Jim Snyder and his wife, Caryle, of South Charleston; grandchildren, John Snyder and his wife, Angela, and Jim Snyder and his wife, Kristi; and great-grandchildren, Cole, Keegan, Seth, Kamden, and Owen.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church, South Charleston, with the Rev. Tom Nolan and the Rev. Bill Deel officiating. Burial will be in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Good Shepherd Mortuary, South Charleston, is in charge of arrangements.
