Rollin E. Baptist Nov. 17, 1924~June 28, 2009 Resident of Hayward On June 28th, 2009 Rollin E. Baptist passed away peacefully with his family at his bedside. Rollin led a full and wonderful life and will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. Rollin will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend, MaryAnn, his three children: Pamela (& James) Russo, Trish (& Bryan) Daylor, David (& Beth) Baptist, and his five grandchildren: Alexis, Jamie, Jordan, Blake and Brennan. Rollin was a WWII navy veteran and he retired from United Can & Glass after 43 years as the company's lead electrician. He had a passion for golf, fishing and his hometown Hayward. For those of you who knew him you will remember how freely he gave of his time and many talents. Rollin was an accomplished craftsman with no task to difficult for him to master. His quick wit and terrific sense of humor will live on in our hearts forever. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life at a funeral mass on Thursday, July 2nd at 11am at St. Clements Catholic Church -- 750 Calhoun Avenue in Hayward.
