The Late Wm. J. Carroll.

The death of Mr. Wm. J. Carroll, in the midst of his usefulness, suddenly removed a citizen of Baltimore, whose loss will be felt by a large circle of people. It was not only in his honorable career as a merchant that Mr. Carroll was known. He was noted for kindness of heart that demonstrated itself in helpful service to the sick and the distressed, especially among the membership of Irish benevolent societies, in the welfare of which he took a deep interest. While ever mindful of the care of the sick and needy, he was ready at all times to assist in promoting the success of others, and in assisting young people to get along in the world. Mr. Carroll was an unassuming gentleman, cheerful and kindly under all circumstances.
