Mrs. Eden was a native and resident of Ashville most of her life. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ashville. Mrs. Eden was a graduate of Peabody College where she was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. She retired as a school teacher with 43 years service and was a member of NEA and AEA. Her favorite hobby was working in the yard, which she called the Garden of Eden, and riding her John Deere. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pope Eden.
Survivors include sisters, Elizabeth R. Lamon, Ashville, and Clela (Wayne) Dodd, Ashville; brother, James O. (Leta) Runyans, Cropwell; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be James O. Runyans IV, Jay Runyans, Brian Runyans, Brad Runyans, Tim Davis and John Robinson.
