Vandeventer, 19, worked in a sleeping house, born in Iowa, Alice Vandeventer, 9, born in Indiana, Sarah Vandeventer, 7, born in Indiana, and Abraham L. Vandeventer, 4, born in Indiana. Two houses away we find George Vandeventer, 5, living with 8 others, also born in Indiana.
Their records show he married Ora Defiance Phebus June 26, 1886. Son of Jno K. Van Deventer and Eliz Keeling. Others present: Milton Phebus, Eliz Ainsworth, Jacob Dice. Going by that the wife was possibly Eliz Ainsworth at the time of the sons marriage. Just a guess.
