Mrs. Louise Cary Palmer died suddenly at Islip, L. I. on Saturday, having suffered a stroke of paralysis, aged 65 years. Friends here where she is well known, are sorry to learn of her sad death. Her childhood and early life was spent on the Cary home farm where she was born, and [she] was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hawley R. Cary. Her father was a prosperous farmer and a prominent citizen, who was born in the same vicinity and was a relative of the late Col. Richard Cary. Her mother was Mary Grey, a prominent and respected family. After Louise Cary's marriage to Alfred Palmer, they went to Clarksville where they conducted the hotel there for many years, and later, with her brother, the late Edwin Cary, conducted the Central Hotel at Cooperstown. She is survived by her brother Alfred Cary, and one sister, Mrs. Kate Cary, who have the deep sympathy of many friends in their sad and sudden bereavement. The funeral occurred at the Cary Home farm and was largely attended on Monday at 2 p. m., the Rev. Scudder of Cooperstown conducting the services. Interment in the Cary family plot in the Springfield Centre cemetery. The bearers were Kenneth Gros, Fred Maxted, Raymond Ough and Victor Hoke.
