Funeral service will be held Sunday, 2:00 pm at the Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Madison. Burial will be in the Pleasantville Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Amos was a native of Stokes County and has resided in Rockingham County most of his life. He was a retired maintenance worker with Tultex Corp., an Army veteran and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Noel Amos, Sr.; son, Eugene Amos; granddaughter, Kristin Amos; sister, Rachel Shelton; brother, Noel Amos, Jr., and is survived by his wife, Emma 'Kitty' Carter Amos of the home; children, Dean Amos of Eden, Brenda Amos of the home; mother, Mrs. Jessie Brown Amos of Sandy Ridge, and two grandchildren
