Janet was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina on September 12, 1955 to Ray and Elaine Cornwell. She has two siblings; Rod Cornwell of Willamina and the late Linda Mosher Ottele of Dallas.
Janet was preceded in death by her dad Ray in 1987, her mom Elaine in 1991 and her sister Linda in 2006. Janet also lost her nephew Michael Ottele in 1993.
Janet married the love of her life Kenneth Risseeuw on November 23, 1974. They were blessed with three beautiful children. Tracy Ann was born on September 20, 1977, Wendy Rae was born on September 8, 1979 and Kenneth Allan Jr. was born on June 4, 1981.
Janet and Ken have been blessed with seven wonderful grandkids. Tracy blessed them with Logan Cherry. Wendy and Adam blessed them with Madison, Nathan and Kaden Konovalov. Kenny and Leah blessed them with Logan Wilson, Paetton and Kennedy Risseeuw.
Janet was a homemaker while her kids were growing up and then went to work at Spirit Mountain Casino when it first opened and worked there until she retired in 2012.
Janet has one niece Belinda Ogle of Sheridan and three nephews Ron, Jered and Travis Cornwell all of the Willamina area.
Janet attended the Grand Ronde Church of the Nazarene.
